I consider Shree ChaaganTi sadguruvugaari verse about
" ParaaShara Samhita " being the most authentic source to be considered for all the Hanuman related information and thus celebrate the Vaishaakha Bahula Dashami / Poorvaabhaadra Nakshatram as the actual Hanumad Janmadinoatsawam....
However, each person has his / her own beliefs that are to be respected and cared for and thus it is observed that multiple Hanumad Janmadinoatsawams are respected/celebrated across the length and breadth of the nation....

of which Aanjaneya is a very specially celebrated super human for all that he has executed by being a part of ShreemadRaamaayanam.
With the incident of Vaayudeava's involvement when Aanjaneya was hurt by Devendra's vajraayudham when he went on to gulp in Sun assuming it to be some sort of fruit, he was blessed by all the dieties with their respective powers thus making him a "sakaladevataa swaroopam".
His lower jaw (Hanuvu) was hurt in that incident and since then Hanumaan became his another name.....
He made his presence on the planet earth as per his word to ShreeMahaaVishnu during the TripuraasuraVadha and thus he is the same HaraTejassu that has accomplished an extremely complex mission of TripuraasuraVadha.
Tripuraasura is an extremely over intelligent demon that has asked Brahma Deva a boon as per which he would spread his existence in 3 different planes by continuously travelling across 3 different flying mansions (3 puramulu made up of Gold, Silver and Iron) that would never intersect with each other because of being present in 3 different planes and he must get killed if and only if when these 3 flying mansions get aligned together in a straight line should it ever happen....
Lord BrahmaDeva as usually spinned off his super computer to arrive at that 1% probability and said "Asthu".
With this he assumed that he is literally invincible because he would never get killed by anyone owing to his boon from BrahmaDeva. However he is a demon and his demonic thinking itself paved way for his vadha by Parameshwara.
After several years he thought to see if any one in this universe can really win him and just for a moment he wanted to align his 3 puramulu in a straight line to see if anyone can challenge his boon.
Lord Parameshwara was patiently waiting for this moment to get unveiled in the time plane that no one has a complete knowhow on its matrix, and in that fraction of time when the 3 puramulu were aligned in a straight line by the hyper intelligent Tripuraasura, lord Rudra shot his lightning speed arrow ( ShreeMahaaVishnu gave his word that he would transform himself in to a powerful divine arrow to kill that demon ) there by achieving an extremely difficult Asuravadha.
Now imagine how intelligent, how wise, how powerful, how calculated, how efficient, how divine, how focussed, how aimed one must be in order to achieve such an extremely complex target within a fraction of time. It is such an elevated state of Rudra consciousness that gave a word to ShreeMahaaVishnu that he would take a full fledged avatar to serve him for the help he has extended in the form of a divine arrow and subsequently took the Aanjaneya Avataaram. Hence the Rudra consciousness of Aanjaneya Swaamy is indeed a never before seen magnanimous personality in terms of everything....
"You name it...He has it...." and it is for this very reason an extremely complicated Meghanaatha vadha was carried out by LakshmanaSwamy with the help of Aanjaneya Swaamy in a fashion similar to the Tripuraasura Vadha using a never before known Dharmaastram...
For those who have had a chance to listen to the SampoorNaRaamaayana pravachanams rendered by sathguru ShreeChaaganTi gaaru, it would be known about how difficult it is to deal with Meghanaatha in his maayaayuddham. As a matter of fact, MeghanaathaVadha was much more complicated and a much sought after one by the entire ShreeRaama vaanara sena more than that of the RaavanaVadha. One Naagastram shot by Meghanaatha took down the entire ShreeRaama vaanara sena inclusive of Lord Shree Raama and Lakshmana and the mighty GarudaaLwaar had to swoop down all the way from the abodes of ShreeVaikuntham to relieve them from the clutches of the deadly Naagaastram.
In such a situation, the senior most erudite Jaambavanta asks Vibheeshana about the well being of Hanuman and not that of Lord ShreeRaam and Lakshman for that he states, if Hanuman is all well then he will make sure the entire ShreeRaama vaanara sena would remain well which Hanuman did subsequently by blessing them with the Sanjeevani / Sandhaanakarani / Saavarnakarani / Vishalyakarani herbs brought down from the Himalayan mountains.(near Gandhamaadhana parvatam area) without which neither Lashmana Swaamy nor the majority of the ShreeRaamaVaanaraSena would have made their way forward.
For those ardent spiritual analytical thinkers, it is evident that lord Hanuman could have simply smashed the entire RaavanaSena by dropping a few gigantic mountains on them. However Shree Raam always wants to move forward as per the Yuddha neeti and Raaja neeti so he wouldn't concede to Hanuman's ask in doing such things.
Because it is said "RaamoVigrahavaan dharmaha" and he doesn't want anyone to point out at him or question him on such off the war book activities.
In other words, for a viraat Hanumaanji who has crushed down the entire Mahendragiri while his "take off" to Lanka via saagaraLanghanam, does it really take much time to crush down the entire KaanchanaLanka after he found Seetaamaata...?
For someone who can fly back and forth to Himalayaas from Lanka by carrying the SanjeevaniParvatam, does it take much time for Hanuman, to air lift the entire Kanchana Lanka and throw it away in to seas to put an end to the Raavana Sena..?
For someone who remains unaffected even by the mightiest Brahmaastram, does it take much time for him to collapse the entire Kaanchana Lanka before the Sun rise of the following day, ( after he was relieved by the demons from his self accepted Brahmaastrabandhanam by tying him with small ropes and clothes around )
until which no weapon shall affect him in whatsoever way...?
In this way the unlimited Rudra Shakti was always at a distance of his ManoSankalpam...however he never crossed the lines of being a wise minister to Sugreeva and an obedient follower of Lord ShreeRaamaChandra....
For his aparimita RudraShakti, he is extolled as the time spirit itself by the holy ShreemadRaamaayanam....
