Here comes the most auspicious time of the year with
DurgaaShTami....
MaharNamavi.....
VijayadaShami....
being celebrated across the Nation
and the majestic "Flowers' Festival" of "Brathukamma Utsawam ( Saddula Batkamma ) " celebrations across the state albeit in a low key festive fervor because of Corona's restrictions...
While its true that the Haindava Sanaatana Dharmam holds an array of various festivals celebrated all along the year, Dashahara / Dussehra / Dasara / VijayaDashami / holds a great amount of prominence among all the Indian festivals.
All other festivals are tied to a couple of legends from our ancient times and historical events where as the VijayaDashami festival marks the occurrence of many a great historical events commemorating the spirit of Aashwayuja Sharannavaraatroatsav.
Be it Lord ShreeRaam's splendid victory over Raavanaasura after an arduous 14 years' vanvaas...
Be it PanchaPaandavaas' uttara gograhaNaVijayam by retrieving their celestial powerful weapons hidden atop the ShamiVruksham ( which is worshiped as Paradevataa swaroopam and as per Shree ChaaganTi sathguru gaaru, when Lord ShreeVenkateshwara was asked by the purohit during his wedding with AakaaShaRaaja's daughter ShreePadmaavatee devi in Naarayanavanam, as to whom would he be offering his prathama pooja / praNaam whom he considers as the mightiest divine entity, Lord answers that he would like to offer his worship to ShamiVruksham because it holds the Paradevataamsha within it....Such is the significance of the Shamivruksham. One such age old extremely powerful Shamivruksham that holds a great amount of paradevataa Shakti in it's every part can be found in the ShreeShailam temple premises beside the SriRajaRajeshwara Temple.
Be it SaiBaba's jeevasamaadhi in the Shiridi Temple...
And the victory of aadiparaaShakti over various demons as explained in the mighty DurgaasaptaShati extolling her magnanimity that spreads across the length and breadth of the umpteen cosmos forming the mighty known and unknown Universe..
( Vaagdevataa extoll her saying
" అనేకకోటిబ్రహ్మాండజనని దివ్యవిగ్రహ "
"AnaykakoaTibrahmaanDajanani divyavigraha..."
which means she is the personified grace in being the creator of innumerable BrahmaanDa / Cosmos ... )
and so on and so forth....
Let me take this one "name" from her various 1000 "names" as praised by the extremely powerful and magnanimous LalitaaSahasraNaamaavali which is a revered and a much celebrated discussion between Sage Agasthya and Lord Hayagreeva both being the personification of supreme intellect and wisdom...
When it is said that, "AnaykakoaTibrahmaanDajanani divyavigraha..."
What is her celestial algorithm to execute this mighty matrix of creating and sustaining the unfathomable Universe which essentially is a personification of her
"IchaaShakti... The Power of aspiration.."
"GnyaanaShakti...The Power of Intellect.."
"KriyaaShakti...." The Power of execution."
for which she is extolled as "IchaaShaktiGnyaanaShaktiKriyaaShaktiSwaroopiNi..."
This amazingly unfathomable matrix of AadiparaaShakti is executed via her dedicated forms of
ShreeMahaaLakshmi....
ShreeMahaaSaraswathi....
ShreeMahaaGouri....
( Just in-case should any interested theologists be looking for these 3 forms of moorthis / sculpted strictly according to the Shaakteya Aagama Shaastram to medidate on and understand her magnanimity, do pay attention to the 3 magnificent rock sculpted wall art / kudyachitraalu present in the ShreeShailaBrahmaraambika aalayam...
Look towards your left side at the Mandapam / outer Praakaaram as soon as you step in to the Temple before taking that right turn to have the garbhaalaya ShreeBrahmaraambika moolamoorti darShanam...)
Let me take a small worldly example to explain this celestial phenomenon to make it simple to understand....
Let's take the process of preparing a Ganapati Moorti and Laddoos for prasaadam to worship and get his blessings with Water / Haldi / Jaggery / Besan and other typical ingredients involved in the general recipe....
Here "Water" represents the omnipresent ever pervading "ShuddhaSattwaParamaatma tattwam...."
( which has no definite taste / odour / shape / and other tangible characteristics in order to quantify it's absolute presence....
Haldi represents the Sattwaguna tattwa moolakam which unfolds itself as a derivative of the above ShuddhaSattwa parabrahmatattwam.....
Jaggery represents the Rajogunatattwa moolakam which adds multiple characteristics to the above relative Sattwaguna tattwa moolakam by acting as a catalyst to the Sattwaguna tattwam..
Besan and other ingredients represent the tamogunatattwa moolakam which essentially are like exponential multiplicative factors to the above rajoguna tattwa moolakam to surge up the limited quantitative entity of the above amalmagated Sattwa and Rajo guna tattwa moolakam.....
Here it is to be noted that without the "water" all the other materials cannot be utilized in the intended form to arrive at the the aspired process of creation...
which establishes the fact that without that much required presence of the ShuddhaSattwa tattwaguNa moolakam,
it isn't possible to arrive at any creation worth enough to be a near perfect entity for worldly usage......
When the primordial aadiparaaShakti represented by "water" amalgamates with these individual tattwa moolakam / padaartham,
they become very much ready-to-be-used elements in the creation process....
i.e., haldi becomes ready for preparing a Ganesh Moorti...
jaggery becomes ready to make a viscous sweet syrup to strongly bind the required entities in the desired form...
Besan becomes ready to go through a metamorphosis from being mere flour to small grains / mixture to Laddus after being amalagamated with the above ingredients. i.e., the right mixture of little Haldi + adequate jaggery syrup + transformed Besan becomes a consumable sweet Laddu for Prasaadam....
It is to be noted that the besan needs to be subjected to the process of getting transformed to little grains called mixture after getting cooked in simmering oil....
This " oil " represents the human effort and the " simmering oil " represents the conscious / adequate human efforts with right intensity in the right time in order to transform raw entities to consumable entities.....
i.e., the physical raw stuff becomes consumable meta physical ripe stuff which is the very purpose of all the efforts being put in....
After transforming herself from the primordial aadiParaaShakti to the specific forms of
MahaaLakshmi
MahaaSaraswati
MahaaGowri
the analogy for the same would be...
Haldi symbolises MahaaGowri....
Besan and all other ingredients symbolize MahaaSaraswati....
Jagerry symbolises MahaaLakshmi...
Without Haldi there is no GaneshaMoorti to worship and consume the sweets after offering them to lord as naivedyam in order to convert them in to prasaadam.....
Without Besan and other ingredients like dry fruits etc.., there is nothing available to use for preparing the "prasaadam"...
Without the presence of Jaggery the Laddus aren't worth enough to be called so in order to consume and savor the same...
Hence if one can pay proper attention, all these various ingredients when considered in-silos do not make much sense and are of not much use in the process of creation....
When all these are " concatenated " in the right proportions and right methodologies, that unified process finally reveals a wonderful phenomenon called worshipping Lord Ganesha residing in his Haldi moorti by offering him yummy Laddus and consuming them as Prasaadam so as to satiate the "inevitable unavoidable natural human appetite...." with eatables that are enriched not only with mere physical stuff ( to nourish the body and brain ) but also with spiritual / divine essence ( which nourishes the mind and soul ) in order elevate us to higher and higher realms......
So is the case with this amazing phenomenon called "a vast known Universe" which essentially is "a vast unknowable Multiverse" that is subjected to a perennial metamorphosis of "SrushTi" , "Stithi" , "Pralayam" in various micro and macro levels via the same promordial aadiparaaShakti by taking the names and forms of
"SrushTikartree Brahmaroopa....
Goaptree GovindaroopiNi....
SamhaariNi rudraroopa.....
Tirodhaanakari Eeswari.....
SadaaShiva anugrahada.....
Panchakrutya paraayaNa...."
Her magnanimity remains the same be it in the creation of the smallest known insect...
or in creating the Brahma, after whom a vast unit of time called 'kalpam' is named.....
and thus she is extolled as
"aabrahmakeeTajanani...."
This unfathomable unknowable immeasurable Multiverse spawned across several physical and meta physical cosmic layers of which our Solar System with 9 planets & the Sun+Moon+Earth = various sustained forms of life, is embeddedly displayed in the majestic Flowers' Festival of Batkamma / Bratukamma celebrated intrinsic to the DurgaNavaraatri celebrations.....
It is to be noted that Batkamma is always prepared and celebrated as a pair...
One small Batkamma and one big Batkamma together form a Batkamma from each home......
and when this "Batkamma Pair" is taken for the nimajjanam it becomes one singular entity amongst several hundreds of other Batkamma pairs from all the other homes around....
All of them when placed as a group and are celebrated by all the ladies with songs, claps, dance, music, and all other folklore, the combined "Giant Batkamma formation" represents this vast Multiverse that is surrounded by the various forms of AadiParaaShakti in her "NaadaBinduKaLaateeta swaroopa nidarshanam" represented by all the ladies who celebrate and keep gaurding the Batkamma with various folklore activities....
In the inseparable pair of a Batkamma,
the smaller Batkamma represents Jeevaatma and the larger Batkamma represents Paramaatma....
And the fact that though they look like
" separate entities adjoining each other " but are always treated as one single
" Batkamma " entity, marks the firm establishment of "AdwaitaSiddhaantam" propounded by Jagadguru ShreeAadiShankaraachaarya, that states that Jeevaatma and Paramaatma always coexist in an inseparable fashion and thus the phrase
" deaho deavaalayah proakto.....jeevo devah sanaatanaha...".
Below is my home's / maa Inti saddulaBatkamma for the Shaarvari Aashwayuja Navaraatri Festival celebrated on the DurgaashTami/MaharNamami day and "BaalaPooja" where in a girl between 2 to 9 years of age is welcomed as ShreeAadiparaaShakti / Baalaaswaroopam to our home and is worshipped by offering all the items that hold SarvamangaLaadevi anugraham with them......
( Like Jaggery sweets, Red colored flowers, Bangles, Taamboolam, Haldi, Kumkum /vermilion, etc....) 😊💐
Wishing one and all a very happy Dasara / VijayaDashami 2020.....😊🍨🍟💐🍕
