Wishing one and all a very happy 2024 Tulasi Puja diwas day...🙂💐

Let me explain why one should respect themselves by worshipping Tulasi plants...

1. Basil / Tulasi is the only plant that has an innate speciality to repel all kinds of negative energies / radiations / gaseous radio active elements present in it's vicinity.

2. It is the only plant whose leaves are enriched with edible Arsenic
[ Atomic number:33, Symbol:As, ChemicalGroupBlock:Metalliod ] one of the most powerful elements of the periodic table, that can dissolve and subsume several kinds of allergies in our body in no time after consuming water filled with a few basil leaves especially when one suffers from cold and other typical illness. This is the reason why Tulasi teertham has become an integral part of a Sanaatan Hindu religious life to sustain the good health for all the devotees visiting a temple.

3. Do you know why offering Tulasi teertham is considered as the highest honor to those who are in their last moments..? Both spiritually and physically, Tulasi is an embodiment of several invisible divine higher order medicinal traits so much so that they bring in the blessings of 'Ashwini Daevatalu'
(regarded as the Physicians of the Gods) which in-turn makes their jeeva yaatra qualify to travel via the higher altitude paths tread by the Ashwini deevatalu towards the upper worlds.

4. Thanks to the superior advancements in the field of modern medicine for that nowadays we are taking the help of several ready to consume medicines for various ailments because they are readily available in a nearby medical shop along with their unavoidable side effects too...

However, our previous generations used to consider a Tulasi garden as a medical shop too.
Right from the fallen and dried up Tulasi leaves to the dried up Tulasi plant, every part of a Tulasi plant is embedded with a specific medicinal trait for appropriate processing and consumption as prescribed by the Ayurveda Shastram.

5. Let me wind up extolling the magnanimity of a Tulasi plant by stating the utmost higher honor attained by Tulasi. The pratyaksha paramatma of this Kaliyugam, Lord Shree Venkateshwara of Tirumala, receives various kinds of naivedyams offered 6 times a day only after they are garnished with Tulasi leaves that are the most celebrated entity in his worship besides flowers, fruits, edible camphor, and other medical entities for the well-being of all the devotees who in-turn recieve those naivedyams as bhagawad prasaadam.

The mighty Sanaatana Dharmam considers a house that worships a Tulasi plant as an embodiment of gods and thus a home for the dwellers and the below well known prayer is recited by every sensible person as the first thing their day starts with.

Yanmoolay Sarvateerthaani
Yanmadhaye Sarvadevataa@h
Yadagray Sarvavedascha
Tulaseem twaam praNamaamyaham.

Because it is sensible to worship the microform of all the gods when we can't visit the abode of Gods, a temple, everyday, owing to our busy schedules and household chores...
