"Pushkaraalu" to a given river is associated with the planet Jupiter's transit from one Raashi in to another which takes about 12 years of time for a cycle to get completed....

( i.e., If the river Godaavari has celebrated its Pushkaraalu in 2015, then after 12 years, in 2027, it will celebrate the same when Jupiter transits again in to the "SimhaRaashi' after completing its traverse through all the 12 sun signs)

KumbhaMela is associated with the "GarudaAmrutaapaharanam" legend from the mighty "ShreemadBhaagawatam" and is celebrated across those 4 different places that are revered for the ambrosian droplets' absorption from the AmrutaKumbham being carried by Garuda after winning it from lord Devendra to get rid off her mother Vinataa's bondage from Kadruva...

"Medaaram Sammakka Saaralamma Jaatara" is associated with the MaaghaPourNami utsawam of 

"Vana devatalu Gaddenekkadam"

The most powerful of the events is "Sammakka",

being carried to and fro from a place called "ChilukalaGutta" in the form of a "KumkumaBharina", "a traditional vermillion holder" symbolized as a representation of AadiparaaShakti's abode in SanaatanaSampradaayam.....

Sammakka (mother of Saarakka or Saaralamma), who was worshipped as an avataar of Aadiparaashakti even when she was alive in the human form by the then tribals,

has mystically transformed herself in to a 'KumkumaBharina" during the war time by reaching a place called as ChilukalaGutta, to give the message of the "PunarjanmaSiddhaantam" as the core driving principle of SanaatanaDharmaSampradaayam to which a vermilion sindoor / tilak worn by the people on their foreheads is considered as a sign of its belief...

"maa agha = maagha " maasam is considered as one of the most pious and meritorious month of the lunar almanac heralding the beginning of MaaghaPanchakam, a duration of 5 months ( Maagha, PhaalguNa, Chaitra, Vaishaakha, Jyeashtha ) that are known as the most busiest months of an year occupied with various meritorious Muhurtams for several weddings and other events.. 

If "Kaarteeka Pournami' is the prince of all the full moons then "Maagha Pournami" is the king of all the full moons that holds a great significance for various celestial events....

A few things that are based on ardent beliefs can't be sufficiently substantiated with mere scientific stats and are supposed to be practically perceived through faith and belief in their existence that dates back to centuries of their occurrence...
