Maagha Teertha Snaanam / MahaaMaaghi / KumbhaMela / Meadaaram Sammakka Saarakka jaatara / Bheeshma AshTami / Bheeshma Eakaadashi / Maagha Pournami Tumburu Teertha MukkoaTi parvadinam / MahaaShivaraatri are the other various festivals that are observed during the pious MaaghaMaasam....
RathaSaptami or SooryaJayanthi celebrated on the 7th lunar day in the waxing phase of the moon is also very well known as ShreeVenkateshwaraSwaamy vaari eakaahnika Brahmotsawam....
( i.e., RathaSaptami is celebrated as a one day Thirumala Brahmotsawam festival during which all the Vaahana Sevas are performed sequentially one after the other up until the dusk....) owing to the magnanimous cosmic blessings available from the Sun on his birthday.....
It's quite obvious to state that any and every person on their birthday will be in a joyous festive mood which would only enhance the same for any other celebrations that fall on the same day...
And the same is applicable to the SooryaJayanthi with Lord SooryaNaaraayana being worshipped as Lord Shree VenkataNaaraayana adorning the SuryaPrabhaVaahanam...
( Once a person boards his or her
bike/car, it would be treated on par with their identity... i.e.,
When a bike or a car is in its showroom,
the answer for the question....
"Do you know whose bike is that....?
would be..
" It's a Hero bike..." or " It's a Honda bike..."
etc....
But when a person owns it and travels on the road driving the same, the answer becomes
" Its Vinay's bike...."
So, here the bike is being imparted with the identity of its owner and thus its energy realm becomes the owner's energy realm..
i.e., If my bike is traveling at a speed of say 50 kmps to reach a destination, it implies I too am traveling at the same speed towards the same destination...

The biggest magnanimity of Souram is that it is practically visible and thus tangible to one and all in order to be able to talk and comprehend the same with ease by one and all....
SooryaShakti is nothing but the AatmaShakti and thus SouraShakti is the universal all pervading cosmic energy that takes a many a name and form based on the entity it gets transfused in to.....
While it's true that Milk, Butter, Ghee are 3 different entities that are used for varied purposes....without Milk there is no butter and without butter there is no Ghee...
Similarly AatmaShakti kaaraka Soorya Shakti is the quintessential ManoShakti bestowed by the moon which is essentially a derivative of the Sun's energy because without Sun there is no Moon...

let me take a simple well known example from the software world's typical executions.....
Many software R&D engineers might have had a chance to deal with the Java Heap Space and DataBase Table Space settings / additions / adjustments etc while performing their Java and DB executions respectively...
[ I had a few executions in 2014, where-in an executional Oracle DB flow upgrade comes to a halt with the lack of consumable table space and the manual addition of the same was a repetitive tedious task to be performed by setting aside / pausing the actual executions... So I wrote a simple XML build script named "Table Space Monitor" that automatically checks for the available Table Space and adds the required quantity if the specified threshold isn't met and simply plugged it in to the actual flow script.
The Java heap space settings are typically taken care of by the Weblogic's default AppServer settings which can be anyways modified via the UI admin console or command line with ease..]
Similar to this DB Table Space / Java Heap Space, various cosmic executions would require an immeasurably powerful source of cosmic energy in order to tap in to and derive their required magnitudes to establish their dynamic presence as per the various spiritual requirements being invoked by various devotees across the universe and the Sun is that gigantic entity capable of providing the required cosmic space commanded by the various gods and demi gods for their executions...

Lord SooryaNaaraayana is offered Paayasam as naivedyam which is easy to gulp in and not any other solid foods..

[ Goddess Sati devi states that her father DakshaPrajapathi has resorted to Shivadooshana out of his utter arrogance and thus she doesn't want to remain as Daakhaayani anymore. She creates a Yogaagni with her toe and leaves her coil by getting engulfed in it and ceases to exist as Daakshaayani...

The raging Veerabhara starts bashing everyone who have attended the Nireeshwara yaagam in which Lord Surya Deva has lost his teeth owing to VeeraBhadra's unbearable blows...
Hence he is offered only paayasam as offering so that he can gulp it with ease. ]
