These are the days where many typical middle class Indians, particularly vegetarians, are bothered by lack of energy / enthusiasm, lethargy, fatigue, nutritional / vitamin deficiency, and so and so forth even after having decent regular rice / food and water as per the availability, especially more often to those that are in their 40s and above, i.e., the age when our body starts losing it's natural innate ability to remain strong and active with little quantities of food and water.
Pesticides' sprayed grains, fruits and vegetables that are becoming a regular diet for many especially in urban areas where the shores of contaminated urban river flows and canals are the only available agriculture fields to grow the most commonly consumed vegetables / leafy greens is yet another deterrent for good quality health and life in urban areas.
I have watched multiple youtube informative videos by renowned nutritionists and doctors and have come up with the below simple and healthy mixture to maintain decent energy levels with good cholesterol required to remain active even in our 40s and further.
Ingredients and recipe :
1. Take a cup of sesame seeds, groundnut seeds, dry coconut slices, flax seeds and jaggery powder all in equal quantities.
2. Dry roast them individually (of course other than jaggery powder) on low flame until their respective aroma is clearly cognizable after they turn into golden brownish texture.
3. Let them cool down and then grind them individually into fine powders.
4. Now mix all these 4 powders and jaggery powder well to make a fine mixture.
5. Store this mixture at room temperature and savour it a couple of spoons per day as appropriate.
One may consume it by adding the same to a glass of boiled milk.
It would be even more good to have them dried under the sunlight for a few days and then prepare the aforementioned mixture.
It should ideally look like the one in the attached pic with a high quality flavor and aroma resembling dried Ambrosia.🙂
[ This simple mixture isn't a new thing as such.
It is the quintessential naivedyam offered to Bathukamma as individual grains' powders and distributed / savoured as prasaadam during the Aashwayuja Navaratri festival season all over Telangana since long ago. ]
The super grains named Flax seeds remain non-absorbable by our gastro intestinal walls because of their natural shields that contain the much required Omega 3 fatty acids amidst tightly coupled molecular structure. Once they are roasted well (one can hear the typical popping sounds while roasting them to the required temperature to make them aromatic enough to make a fine powder) their molecular structure becomes soft enough to be recognised by our gastro intestinal system as a friendly food to be considered for intake by producing the requisite enzymes to digest the same properly and their combination with the other 3 entities (roasted sesame seeds, groundnuts and dry coconut slices) makes them even more amicably absorbable food for various inner chemical engineering factors known to the nutritionists and doctors.
P.S. It is being shared only as an FYI. Hence its consideration is completely at your prudence and wisdom. The author is neither recommending nor endorsing it as a standard certified food supplement for everyone but is only sharing his views on good food for generic good health for a typical health conscious person.🙂
Good food. Good health. Good body. Good life.
