Shree Shoabhakrut naama samvatsara 2023 Vaishaakha Shuddha Panchami is the most respected and celebrated day of the year across the length and breadth of the nation and also all over the world by all the believers and followers of Sanaatana Dharamam for that it is the birthday / Jayanti utsawam of 2 greatest philosophers, preachers, gurus, and Gods in the human form.....
Shree AadiShankaraachaarya and Shree Raamaanujaachaarya that have blessed the world with Adwaita and VishiTaadwaita siddhaantam in-order to properly and firmly establish all the devotees in the path of devotion and spiritual journey.....
SadaaShiva samaarambhaam
Vyaasa Shankara Madhyamaam
Asmadaachaarya Paryantaam
Vanday Guruparamparaam....
LakshmeeNaathaSamaarambhaam
NaathaYaamuna Madhyamaam
Asmadaachaarya Paryantaam
Vanday Guruparamparaam....
are the two very well known verses recited by all the Sanaatana dharma followers during their various recitals.....
In simpler words, these two super humans born on Earth to fulfill the divine purpose they have lived and served the world for, have created a strong base track on which several spiritual trains are run by all the devotees in their respective inner devotional journeys....
Shree AadiShankara Bhagawadpaada, laid a track and named it as Adwaita Tattwam / Siddhaantam on which a devotee can travel as far as he/she can towards their chosen inner destinations to identify themselves as one with the all pervading all-mighty in-order to know or more precisely in-order to become one with that universal parattatwam and thus assimilate that Adwaita tattwam which remains mostly as an unknown / unexplainable phenomenon, which is its very nature, owing to its supreme unquantifiable nature....
Because once we become one with something that pervades all over the universe in the name of paramaatma tattwam, what is left for "us" to explain that "something" which is no more different than our very own self...??
So, the deeper and inner an upaasaka or a saadhaka travels on the track of Adwaita tattwam in his or her spiritual journey aiming one of the 6 primordial Gods established by Shree AadiShakaraachaarya in the name of ShanmathaSthaapanaachaarya.....,
namely,
Shaakteayam - Shiva
Shaivam - Shakti / Ambika
Vaishnawam - Vishnu
Souram - Soorya / Sun
Gaanapatyam - Vinaayaka
Koumaaram - SubrahmaNya
to find out the oneness with the chosen name / form of the God being worshipped...
the inseparable and non-dual would be the nature of the Adwaita tattwam's explanation of that supreme paratattwam because of the superimposed oneness with the paramaatma...
Many a modern man of this Kaliyugam would neither be equipped with such strong magnitudes of Adwaita tattwa siddhi because of aantara / baahya Shoucha lopam without which it is not possible to even board the train of Adwaita tattwam nor be interested in knowing the true essence of the same...
and thus so many fake Babas and Sadhus have started emerging in the name of various gods / godmans by making them an object of business and controversy only to fill their pockets and fulfil their personal vendetta.....
As far as I believe, a person who doesn't know how to wear a proper Pancha / Uttareeyam, who doesn't wear a proper Tilak / Vibhooti Dhaarana, who doesn't wash his feet after attending the unavoidable nature's call, will not be able to remain fit to board a train traveling on the mighty track of Adwaitam.... because of the inevitable Kaliyuga Lakshanam and hence only a few hundreds of stalwarts successfully steer the spiritual trains on the track of Adwaitam.....
As we all can see, today's modern man can hardly find a way to fulfil the above algorithm with the kind of modern attire imposed on us by the modern lifestyles and professions....
So, what about the thousands and thousands of ordinary people in this Kaliyugam who can never properly understand the Adwaita Tattwam owing to the inevitable Kaliyuga limitations as explained above...?
They too might want to understand the almighty to some extent to fulfill at least the basic worldly wishes to lead a decent peaceful life....?
It is here, Shree Raamaanujaachaarya, has found a need and envisioned the VishiTaadwaita tattwam / Siddhaantam as an enhanced version of the core/base Adwaita tattwam and propagated the same all over the world so that any given typical modern man can start understanding the paramaatma tattwam initially as something supreme that is different from our typical human existence
and then slowly but surely march forward towards the embedded mighty Adwaita tattwam....
In simpler words,
in-order to sustain ourselves in the true state of
" Chidaananda roopah Shivoham Shivoham....".
as explained by Shree AadiShankaraachaarya in the mighty NirvaanaShatkam, one must transcend all those states that are in search of that
"Chit Aananda Roopam " by terming it as the all pervading Shiva consciousness....
or, in the spiritual words,
In the journey of one's inner engineering, one must transcend themselves thru the
1. Annamaya
2. Manomaya
3. Praanamaya
4. Vignaanamaya
5. Aanandamaya
koshams, in-order to become one with the
" PanchaKoshaantaraSthita Paraamaatma " as explained in the Shree LalitaaSahasraNaamaavaLi..
A "kosham" would be like a virtual inner Geo fence, after transcending each of which sequentially in a cascaded fashion, the all obvious physical boundaries start getting diminished there by leading us towards the higher and higher realms of those spiritual visions that aren't limited / bounded by the 5 primordial elements of
Earth
Water
Air
Fire
Sky
there by enabling any given person to become a yogi to experience that HrdayaKoshaSthita Paramaatma aananda swaroopam.....as the all pervading universal Shivam....there by enabling one to experience the Adwaita sthiti....
In the words of revered sathgurus like Sathguru ShreeChaaganti gaaru....
The Adwaita sthiti is best explained via an example of....
" Samudrapu lotunu kanukkundaamani bayaluderina oka uppu bomma samudramlo karigi samudramay ayina vidhamgaa..."
" A salt statue that goes into an ocean to find out the depth of an ocean gets melted in the ocean and becomes the ocean itself...."
In such a case, who will explain that Adwaita tattwam and how can one explain that Adwaita tattwam which can only be experienced in the state of oneness with the paramaatma tattwam....?
Hence, in-order to substantially talk about the paramaatma tattwam in terms of tangible worldly terminologies, that supreme Adwaita tattwam must be explicitly worshipped as an entity that is being named or more precisely that is being symbolised as paramaatma via samoortyaaraadhana which paves the way for one and all to start knowing that magnanimous paramaatma tattwam and then slowly but surely it leads us to understand the fact of Adwaitam embedded in one's very own self...
The initial distant view of Tirumala from a train's window might look like a small mountain with Galigopuram tower as an entrance to the Tirumala temple...
However, as we keep trekking further via Alipiri stairs' path, we would be astonished to see the vastness of the mighty TiruvengaDam and thus that of the TiruVenkataParatattwam....
This is the best example of VisishTaadwaita Tattwam / Siddhaantam...For that, initially it might look like some sort of Vigrahaaraadhana in the name of paratattwam.... However, as we progress further we would be astonished to know the magnanimity of the parattatwam being worshipped in accordance to the spiritual magnitudes of the saadhana / upaasana revealed / blessed by the entity being worshipped....
I would like to wind up with a great simple example given by sathguru Shree Changanti gaaru to understand how this inner engineering journey works...
Initially, one has to travel via a bike or an auto or a cab up until the airport to travel towards the chosen destination, say Tirumala, via a flight because a flight can't be boarded from your house no matter who you are.....
Similarly, the explicit worship of paramaatma in the name of BhaktaBhaagawataaraadhana as described by the VishisTaadwaita sampradayam's "DaasaDaasoham" will ferry us to that supreme state of being equipped with the capability of becoming one with that supreme paratattwam in-order to establish our consciousness in those supreme levels of Adwaita sthiti to call ourselves "So-ham" / "AhamBrahmaasmi"...
May the blessings of Bhagawad Raamaanujaachaarya (and all the subsequent mahaatmans in the aachaarya parampara up until the current Tirumala pedda jeeyar swaamijis and Shree TridanDi Raamaanuja Chinnajeeyar swami vaaru..)
be bestowed upon all the devotees to become closer to the aantara Bhagawad sannidhi via sadaachaara sampanna VishisTaadwaita sampradaaya vaibhawam in-order to lead a devotee towards the true experience of the supreme Adwaita tattwam propagated by Shree AadiShankaraachaarya (and all the subsequent mahaatmans in the aachaarya
parampara up until the current jagadgurus/peethaadhipatis of the chaturaamnaaya peethams of Badari, Puri, Shrungeri, Dwaaraka and the Kanchi moolaamnaaya Kaamaakshi Peetham) currently presided by Shree Bhaarati teertha mahaswami vaaru as the jagadguru (and Shree ViduShekhara mahaa swami vaaru as the uttaraadhikaari ) of DakshiNaamnanya Shrungeri Shaarada Peetham that is considered as the gurupeetham for the remaining 3 Jagadguru peethams (of Dwaaraka pertham in the West, Badari Peetham in the North and Puri Peetham in the East) and by Shree ShankaraVijayendra Saraswathi swami vaaru as the jagadguru of Kanchi Kaamaakshi moolaamnaaya peetham established and presided by Shree AadiShankaraachaarya himself who was reincarnated as Periyava, Kanchi Mahaaswami, Shree ChandrashekarendraSaraswati Mahaaswami vaaru, paramaguruvu gaaru of the current Kanchi jagadguru, Shree Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi swami vaaru....
On the day of Shree AadiShankara Jayanti,
it is a customary practice to recite the toTakaashTakam mentioned below as a mark of respect towards all the poorvaachaarya parampara by visualising all of them in Shree AadiShankarachaarya....
