Dasara, Dussehra, Dashahara, and so on....
it takes on many names...The aadiparaa Shakti aaraadhana all along the Aashwayuja maasa Shuddha Paadhyami thru Shuddha Navami culminates in to the VijayaDashami / Dasara festivel on the 10th day.....
While there are many legends associated with the Dasara festivel / Durgaa Navaraatri celebrations all along the length and breadth of India....,
the well known ones are
1. Lord Shree Raam's victory over Raavanaasura from the Tretaa yugam's Shreemadraamaayanam times...
2. PanchapaanDava uttara gograhana vijayam after successfully completing their 12 years of forest exile and 1 year of disguise in the Viraata kingdom.....
Especially, it earmarks the event of successfully gaining access to their celestial weapons hidden atop a JammiChettu / ShameeVruksham
(our state tree and also Rajasthan's state tree) in a concealed form to remain intact all along their exile.....
3. AadiParaashakti's victory over various demons as per DeviBhaagawatam celebrated via NavaDurga aaraadhana sampradaayam,
4. 3 days SaraswatiDevi + 3 days LakshmiDevi + 3 days PaarvatiDevi = 9 days TriShakti swaroopa aaraadhana..
etc...
As per the Shaakteya Sampradayaam,
a single primordial Shakti Tattwam manifests in to any given name and form as per a devotee's sankalpa balam which is essentially an amalgamation of the
IcchaaShakti+JnyaanaShakti+KriyaShakti as a blessing from the aadiparaaShakti......
i.e.,
when a devotee prepares a turmeric lump and prays it in the form of
some X name and form carrying certain
syllable notation, it becomes that form of God and bestows the requisite blessings......
It is akin to an organized Rubik's cube,
with 9 squares of each color on its 6 sides forming a mystical kaleidoscope that displays 6 different colors based on the directional placement of the same.....
i.e., when a Rubik's cube gets placed in the middle of a room, 4 persons facing the 4 cardinal directions of
E W N S would look at 4 different colors with 2 more colors available for the top and bottom planes....
If one of them states that,
a Rubik's cube is just an X colored cube only because it is being perceived as the same at a certain point in time and place by them.....
it wouldn't be an absolute reality because we all know that 6 different statements of such relative colored identity are possible in every given point in time at 6 different places.....
Akin to the above example, a one single mighty entity named as " paramaatma "
gets perceived via umpteen names and forms to achieve a certain purpose and to fulfill a certain specfic need at a certain point in time and place......
NavaDurgaam MahaaKaaLeem BrahmaVishnuShivaatmikaam....
TrikaalaGnyaanasampannaam....
Namaami Bhuvaneshwareem.....
is the mighty verse that concludes the meritorious ShreeLakshmiAshtottara Shatanaama stotram......
that aptly describes the ParameaShi tattwam as explained in the aforementioned Rubik's cube example....
If I pray the ParaaShakti embedded in
in the turmeric / vermilion...
saying....
Oam ShreeSaraswatyai Namaha...
she would appear and respond as SaraswatiDevi, the bestower of all knowledge and wisdom......
If I pray the ParaaShakti embedded in
in the turmeric / vermilion...
saying....
Oam ShreeLakshmyai Namaha...
she would appear and respond as LakshmiDevi, the bestower of all materialistic and spiritual riches.....
If I pray the ParaaShakti embedded in
in the turmeric / vermilion...
saying....
Oam ShreePaarvatyai Namaha...
she would appear and respond as Paarvatee devi, the bestower of all energies and powers.....
and these 3 primordial Shakti Tatwams
in-turn have their own umpteen multiple names and forms / classifications for many an intricate spiritual reasons / requirements...
A similar worship methodology is observed in the Sharannavaraatroatsawa Shakti Aaraadhaana.......
A few follow the NavaDurgaSampradaayam with her names as
1. Shailaputri

2. Bala Tripurasundari
3. Annapurna
4. Gayatri
5. Lalitha Tripura sundari
6. Saraswati

9. Mahishaasuramardhini
and the RaajaRaajeshwari alankarana on the VijayaDashami day to earmark her
command and control over the various kings of the kings ruling all the worlds.....
As per the ShreeVidyaaSampradaayam,
Bhuvaneshwari and RaajaRaajeshwari have a synonymous cosmic equation and are thus considered as one and the same.....
Many a common village person typically doesn't have the required time / feasibility / know-how on all these matters pertaining to various DurgaaSharannavaraatri aspects to visit the distant temples and worship the Aadiparaashakti in the aforementioned methodologies...,
Hence the Telungu seema / TelangaaNa region has been celebrating the traditional festival of Bratukamma Utsawam since several hundreds of years, where in the Sharannavaraatra AadiParaashakti is invited in to a 3D cone shaped floral throne / floral unit named as Batkamma / Bratukamma and is worshipped all along the 9 days of Sharannavaraatri utsawam taking the name of Saddula Bratukamma utsawam....

On the other hand, there is a great science of nature behind the celebration of the mighty Bratukamma festival.....
Being a less water availability region / Deccan plateau region......
various near by lakes / ponds / streams / etc that serve as the natural water resources to all the localities around,
are cleansed to get rid off the rainy season's mud / dirt / germs / viruses / bacteria etc.....
by dissolving the 21 various herbs / shrubs / leaves possessing medicinal properties that are used during the recent Ganesha Nimajjanam festivel and those acidic waters free from all virus / bacteria / mud / etc are now naturally revived / rejuvenated to attain the pH value of 7 in order to neutralize them or a little above 7 in order to make them as mild alkaline waters suitable for human consumption......
Various flowers (the seasonal flowers of Tangedu, Gunugu, and all other generally available flowers....) used in the Bratukamma festival possess such medicial properties which are helpful in naturally reviving the waters as explained above.....
And to those spiritual intellectual folks,
it is a very well known fact that Ashwini maasam is the first month as per the Nakshatramaanam, and as explained by sathguru ShreeChaaganTi gaaru, this Aashwayuja maasam is a highly meritorious month for upaasaka / saadhaka prapancham.......
In simpler words, during the regular days if a devotee prays chanting......
" Oam IcchaaShakti GnyaanaShakti
KriyaaShakti SwaroopiNyai namaha... "
and yields 108 marks of japabalam.....
then, during the AashwayujaSharannavaraatri utsawam....
the same recital would yield 1008 marks of japa balam.....
Such is the effect of Ashwini Nakshatram named after the Devavaidyulu Ashwini devatalu..... who keep travelling across the various celestial worlds for various information transmissions as well.....along with the SiddhaChaaraNa devaganaalu at a relatively lower altitudes.....
And it is also the time for Shree Tirumala Venkateshwara Swami vaari annual Brahmotsawam festivel which continues to remain as the most widely celebrated and magnanimous festivals of Tirumala....
Saint poet Shree Taallapaaka Annamaachaaryulu gaaru has extolled lord Shree Venkateshwara saying.....
"Sari nennuduru shaaktaeyulu, Shakti roopu neevanuchu " while beginning the second stanza/charaNam.......
1. Tirumala AanandaNilaya VimaanaGopuram has lions overseeing all the cardinal directions which is typically a feature of a Shakti Aalayam.....
2. The most sought after Tirumala Aarjita Seva in Tirumala aalayam
(It is one of my life time dreams) is the ShukravaaraabhiShekam and Melsaattu vastraSamarpanam......
which is typically a seva observed in every Shakti Aalaayam......
3. Mohini avataaram of Lord Malayappa Swaami is one of the Vaahansevas in the Tirumala annual Brahmotsawam....
which isn't typically found in any other ShreeVaishnavaalaya Brahmotsawa Vaahanasevalu.....
4. Tirumala Aanandanilayam is guarded by 7 utmost powerful Shaakteya temples spread across the Tirumala surrounding the main temple....
5. For those who are interested in knowing the Shaakteya Vaibhawam embedded in the Tirumala Sannidhi and its intricacies, they may visit the
"Paachikaaluva Gangamma Temple" located at a short distance from the Paandava Teertham and meditate there to understand her power.....
Akin to how VanaDurga ammavaaru walks around the Annavaram Temple guarding the ShreeSatyaNaaraayaNa Swamy Sannidhi every night with audible sounds of
"ghal ghal..." made by her manjeeramulu...,
Paachikaaluva Gangamma Talli walks all over the Tirumala premises guarding it
(along with her sisters namely, BaaTa Gangamma, Baala Gangamma etc...)
every night with audible sounds of
"ghal ghal..." made by her manjeeramulu.....

All in all, the pious Aashwayuja maasam is one of the mightiest maasams for the bhakta / upaasaka / Saadhaka lokam and is certainly the most powerful maasam to accrue as much AadiParaaShakti anugraham as possible....
