Look at the awe inspiring satellite images of the 'Triveni Sangam' @ Kumbh - 2019..! :)

While there is many a contradicting legend associated with Sun god, his wives and children, it is believed and preached by many a Sadguru that Lord Sun has 2 wives Usha Devi & Chaaya Devi ( both are the inseparable forms of Sangnya devi, the daughter of deva Shilpi Vishwakarma ) signifying light and darkness or presence/absence of Sun's energy at a given point in time. Even the well known definitions from the western research journals state that darkness is just the absence of light and is a mutually exclusive entity of the former and thus has so absolute significance on its own.
From the learning that I have had from 'SrimadBhaagawatham' discourse by my Sadguru Shree Chaaganti gaaru...,
Considering Lord Yamraj and his Sister Yami who took the form of river Yamuna.....
( it is in her house that Lord Yama will have lunch on 'Bhaidooj' day and gives boon that any one who has a lunch at their sister's home on 'Yamadweteeya', the 5th day of Diwaali celebrations shall be blessed by him appropriately ) /
and the planet Shani or Shanaishchara...
( most of us wrongly pronounce him as Shaneeshwara...
Sankrit definition of the same reads, "Shanaihi Shanaihi charaha..iti Shanaishcharaha" - that means one who moves slow both physically as a part of the astronomical solar system's revolution around the Sun and also as per the astrology in ones 'janma kundali', compared to all other active planets relative to their mass/volume ratio and their respective orbital velocities...),
as his 6 members' celestial family who run the entire eternal cosmic cycle of Time, Birth, Death, Re-birth, & Karma....,
Yami in the form of river Yamuna does hold her own significance as she was chosen by Lord Krishna ( and interestingly not the most sacred river Ganga which was already brought down to earth by then, by Bhageeratha Maharshi and I assume we all know that legend of sacred Bhaageeradhi's voyage from Mandaakini to Bhogavati...)
In this context, one day River Yamuna prays Lord Shree Krushna saying...
"Hey..Shree Krushna, you are the very 'Paramaatma' of this entire cosmos...you are the embodiment and personification of each and every celestial being in this universe, you chose to take various 'avatars' to accommodate various boons that you have bestowed your devotees out of your sheer love and compassion towards them for their prayers....
In this 'Shree Krishna paripoorNaavataara' you chose the banks of Yamuna for all your childhood plays, and many an amazing celestial 'Shree Krushna Leela'... so may I plead you to make me the most sacred river in this planet for all that you have had from me.......? "
Upon this, Lord smiles and answers her....
"My dear Yamuna, you have always been so special for me right from 'Kaaliyamardan' to 'Raasleela' and your banks would always remain equally special and sacred eternally....
'Ganga', has already been conferred with this boon of being the most sacred river on planet Earth, for that she took the blessings from the cosmic Trinity and is already being praised as ...
"Brahma kamanDala udbhaveem...."
"Vishnu Paadoadbhaveem..."
"Rudra Jataajootoadbhaveem..."
it is not feasible for you now to replace her...
However, Krushna never disappoints any one who seeks refugee in him and thus I here by confer you the boon that once you go and meet Ganga at the holy Prayaaga kshetra and merge with her to become one with the emanating river Saraswathi from beneath as well, the united form of you 3 would be considered as the most sacred waters of 'Triveni Sangam' on the planet for ever...."
and adding to this, as another legend goes, ( during the deva daanava Ksheerasaagara madhanam or Garuda's 'Amrutaapaharanam' to relieve his mother's slavery from his step mother Kadruva's bondage )
4 drops of the Ambrose, the celestial nectar / Amrutam fell in the 4 different places of Naashik, Haridwaar, Ujjaini, Prayaaga and to celebrate the significance of the same, the largest gathering on the planet, Kumbh mela is held even today...!
NaagaSadhus, the rarest of the ascetic sect even in today's modern era, living in various holy Himaalayan caves and directly worshiping Lord Shiva residing on mount Kailaash, come out in to this human world only for these Kumbh Melas, including several other ascetic groups called as "AkhaaDaas".
Thus, Kumbh mela @ Triveni Sangam holds a much greater significance than the rest of the 3 Kumbh melas and is a great feast to be one among those thousands of thousands pilgrims descending from almost all parts of the vast India ( and a few Sanaatana Dharma / Hindu Dharma believers from other countries as well ) which probably isn't possible elsewhere on the planet.
