Shree KukkeKukshi Subrahmanya Swamy temple, is one of the most powerful and magnanimous temples of India. The reason being after Taarakaasura samhaaram, Lord Kartikeya was exhausted and was searching for an ideal tranquil place in-order to take rest amidst peaceful environs and he found the mountain area behind the existing Kukke temple as an ideal one and thus it got it's name as 'Kumaaraparvatham'...

Even today, the nature around Kukke temple surroundings resonates in the form of Shanmukha so much so that rare and perplexing hexagonal stones are found there....

One important thing to be noted is that, in the name of trekking and mountain site seeing, under no circumstances, one must go beyond a point where it is mentioned not to go into the forest beyond this point... Because, a typical human being can't withstand the utmost powerful Shanmukha's divine radiance presiding in that forest area for that in general it is not advised to look at a blazing sun directly without proper sun glasses or other translucent mediums ...

The compacted power of Kartikeya that gets radiated from the Kukke Temple darshanam would suffice to answer and bless all our generic prayers...and one must also note that Aadi Subramanya temple is to be visited first and only then Kukke Subramanya darshanam because of a legend that happened over there....

లస త్స్వర్ణ గేహే నృణాం కామదోహే – 

సుమస్తోమ సంఛన్నమాణిక్య మంచే |

సముద్య త్సహస్రార్క తుల్యప్రకాశం – 

సదా భావయే కార్తికేయం సురేశమ్(8)

భావం::మనుజుల కోరికల నొసంగు కనక భవనములనందు పుష్ప సముదాయముచే గప్పబడిన రత్న పీఠముచే ఉదయించుచున్న సహస్రాదిత్యులతో సాటి అయిన వెలుగు గల దేవత శ్రేష్ఠుడైన కుమారస్వామిని నిరంతరం తలంచెదను.
